Financing your new system
At Energy Unlimited, we work with Energize CT, CT Greenbank and Capital for Change to help you attain financing for your new heating system. Installation of new heating equipment is a large investment and there are many options to consider when it comes to paying for your new system. The following information should help answer some questions and we are here to answer any additional you have.
Financing Programs
There are two financing programs available to fund residential home improvement projects:
Energize CT Heat Loan and
CT GreenBank Smart-E Loan
These loan programs were developed to provide low-interest loans for the replacement of existing heating systems with new energy-efficient equipment
Both loan programs are administered by Capital for Change.

Can be used for heating system replacement projects only
Interest rate of 0.99%
Repayment terms from 3-10 years
Minimum 10% down payment or higher based on energy savings beween old and new equipment
No fees or prepayment penalties
Underwriting Basis = Electric Utility History
Maximum loan amount of $15,000
Eversource / United Illuminating Customers Only

Can be used for heating, AC, insulation, Solar and other energy efficiency projects (can bundle multiple projects)
Interest rates range from 4.49% -6.99% depending repayment terms
Repayment terms from 5-12 years
No down payment
No fees or prepayment penalties
Underwriting Basis = Credit History
Maximum loan amount of $40,000
Owner-occupancy required
